The BBH is gear driven and you can use your Cordless Drill to run the gear! No Electrical connections to your truck!
There is NO installation you Assemble the BBH piece by piece in about 15 minutes and there is no permeant attachment to your truck, the only connection is in your Hitch Receiver Only! Watch our "Big Bike Hauler How It Works Video" on our Home Page to get a clear and visible explanation.
No, The BBH uses your trailer hitch as an install point and cannot be removed when in use. The tailgate stays down and a trail would not clear. Also this may over load your trucks capacity with you bike, BBH and trailer.
BBH is designed to fit most pickup trucks with a minimum bed length of 66" or more and payload capacity of 1200 Ibs. or more. The difference between a short bed vs a long bed is that there will be more space in front of the bike on the longer beds than 66". In other words the position in the rear of the bed does not change on any truck. The 66" bed will have the bike all the way forward the 6" 6" bed will have 1 ft. of space in front and the 8 ft. bed will have 30" of space.
Max capacity is 1000 Ibs.
BBH has a 30" Extension Ramp option that will change the angle of the ramp allowing most long pipes and bags to clear. Most of our videos have the 30" Extension installed.
